Clinical director and the leading eye surgeon Dr. Felix Lukins

Felix Lukins studied medicine at the Latvian Academy of Medicine (Paula Stradina University). He mastered eye doctor - surgeon specialty at the University of Latvia, postgraduate Education Institute and accomplished residency at the 7th Clinical Hospital, 18th department, during which he independently performed eye surgeries in various complicacy levels (cataract, glaucoma, etc.).

Dr. Ilga Lukina accumulated her professional experience from ten years of work in Latvian American Eye Center, afterwards - in private practice of eye doctors “Lukina and Lukins”, but from year 2008 she has joined the medical staff of the Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic.
She studied at the 4th Medicine Nursing School of Riga, at the Medical Institute of Riga and later at the Eye department of the Academy of Medicine (Paula Stradina University).

Ophthalmologist Dr. Lija Karlsone

Dr. Lija Karlsone started to work at the Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic already in the year 2003, so she is a part of our team since the founding of the clinic.
Dr. Karlsone graduated Latvian Academy of Medicine; afterwards she mastered a degree at the University of Latvia, Department of Optometry in the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Dr. Indars Lacis started to work at the Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic in the year 2011 as an eye surgeon.
Dr. Lacis graduated Latvian Academy of Medicine; he gained specialization as an eye doctor at the Paula Stradina University Hospital in the eyar 1997.
Dr. Lacis expanded his skills in USA, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, mostly in refractive surgery, pathology of retina and cataract surgery.
Dr. Lacis is an author of many scientific and literature studies.

Laser ophthalmologist Dr. Zanna Artina

Eye doctor Zanna Artina continues the physician dynasty - she is a very experienced specialist in laser ophthalmology.
She studied medicine at the Medical Institute of Riga (Latvian Academy of Medicine) and afterwards she gained specialization as an eye doctor at the Paula Stradina University Hospital, Eye department. Eye doctor Dace Vaganova is working in Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic since year 2008.
She studied at the Paula Stradina University of Riga, Faculty of Medicine, afterwards she acquired postgraduate education program in ophthalmology and later she graduated a second-level of professional higher education in optometrics.
Dr. Vaganova expanded her skills at the Lions Ophthalmology education center in Prague, worked as an intern at the Eye Clinic in University of Berne and laser ophthalmology clinic in Tallinn. Pediatric ophthalmologist Dr. Vineta Aizkalne

Dr. Vineta Aizkalne started to work at the Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic in year 2008, working particularly with the “little” patients of clinic.
She studied at the Paula Stradina University of Riga, Faculty of Medicine and mastered an eye doctor – ophthalmologist degree at the University of Latvia.

Gunta Krumina has been working as an optometrist at the Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic since year 2004.
She studied at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, obtaining a bachelor’s science degree in optometrics, afterwards a master’s degree in natural science and a doctor’s degree in medical physics.
